About Us
MacRae’s Black Terrier Pub is a startup traditional Scottish pub in Crisfield, MD, based on the Irish pub model.
In addition to the quality pub design/atmosphere, there will be live entertainment every Saturday night, karaoke every Friday night, competition team trivia Thursday nights, and something new on Monday (Punday) night: best (or worst, however you look at them) pun contest, where the winner (as judged by the crowd) gets a free top shelf drink on us! After discussions with the community through social media, a cigar lounge will also part of it in a second phase. Enough entertainment and social competition to keep people coming back! And we also may have a Sip & Paint session every first and third Saturday afternoon!
While we aren’t going to have a food menu (just a bit of pub grub and the menus from local eateries that will deliver) We are in discussion to have a couple special gourmet Scottish dishes custom made for us by Brian of Waterman’s Inn.
The Black Terrier Pub will be the new center of a community, providing fun events on a nightly basis, a new delight for tourists to find, and grow with the new revitalization of a town that really needs it. It’s something that has been missing in this town since Covid, and will hopefully help support local businesses, as well.
Romeo says Thank You!

Meet the Team
Chris has a background in graphic design, interior design and architecture, as well as serving as a contract officer for the federal government. He has experience in the tech and construction portions of facilities, as well as managing his own business for many years
Donna has experience in managing her own business and staff. She was trained at the Baltimore Bartender Academy as a certified mixologist, and has worked at various bars, such as the Hard Rock in downtown Baltimore for a few years.
Why MacRae’s? Chris is of Scottish descent, and MacRae is the old family name. And the Black Terrier Pub is from the fact that Chris and Donna have been fostering Scottish terriers (usually medical needs dogs) for over a decade from our friends at Mid Atlantic Scottish Terrier Education and Rescue. Romeo was an adopted Scottie that had congenital heart failure when born, and we managed to get him strong enough to have heart surgery at 1, at Virginia Tech veterenary school. He survived for another 7 years and was the perpetual puppy, and the sweetest member of the family. We remember him here, and watch for messages from him!
Hope to See You When We Get Done!
